Raised by her mother and grandmother, Katie Jones is a professional artist and art educator for a small private school in Memphis TN. She believes that art should be accessible for all people and advocates for art accessibility for art for people with disabilities.
She is currently working on a program for integrating anime into the art classroom for teachers and hopes to become a national expert for anime integration in her field. She speaks at local conventions and other venues about anime, art education, cosplay, and running a business inclined towards nerds.

I've been a professional educator for over a decade now officially. It's really weird looking back at it and now I'm sidelined from my classroom because I have an ear infection that has been plaguing me for 3 weeks now. I thought it was a change in my regular day to day meds causing vertigo but it turns out, it was confirmed yesterday, that I had a nasty ear infection. Normally a round of antibiotics of around 7 days will knock it out by day 5. This one is being stubborn and physically talking hurts a ton which I found out tonight when I was having a conversation with my kiddo (surprise I have a 10 year old now!). I've been focusing on my art while I'm sidelined and uploading some here as well as on my instagram. (check it out! I'm @thatkatiejones on there!) My work has changed a lot in the swirling dreams style over the years. I've been uploading here for 18 years and I wish I had some of the images from that many years ago still. I primarily work in Posca Paint Marker Pens now. It

I'm also finishing my Masters of Art in Teaching there as well. Also, if you didn't know, Jessi, an MCA Gead is also the Director of Programming for all of my ABC.
Wow. Though I don't know anything about Jessi. Come to think of it I don't know about anyone who's graduated before I started at MCA.

Well most of the people who started the con, with the exception of George, were active together in another group together and that's how we all became friends. (Except Jessi and I knew each other from taking Surface Design together and talking in the sleaze a few times). Well considering they got rid of Meredith Root you're not going to know many more good digital people and a lot of other people are jumping ship too since everyone seems to not like Ron.
